Make-Up Lesson Policy

Make-up lessons are offered as a courtesy and are subject to availability. Covers eligibility rules, how to report an absence, and the limits that apply within a session.

At Seal Swimming, we understand that family schedules can change and occasional absences are unavoidable. While we strive to provide flexibility whenever possible, make-up lessons are offered as a courtesy and are subject to availability. They are not guaranteed.

Missed Lessons

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. These guidelines allow us to manage class sizes effectively while providing make-up opportunities for our families. For more information about what happens if Seal Swimming cancels a class, see our Class Cancellation Policy.

Credits, refunds, or prorated fees are not provided for missed lessons.
To be eligible for a make-up lesson, parents or guardians must report the absence through the Swim Portal at least 8 hours before the scheduled class time.
Make-up lessons are limited to a maximum of 25% of the total (2 for a standard 8-week session, or 3 for a 15-week session).
Make-up lessons are valid for 90 days from the date of the missed lesson and may only be used while the swimmer is actively enrolled in a current Seal Swimming session.
Make-up lessons cannot be scheduled during the first or last week of any session.
We cannot guarantee the same swim teacher for a make-up lesson.
Complimentary or promotional classes are not eligible for make-up lessons.
