Can You Accommodate Swimmers with Special Needs?
Seal Swimming welcomes and supports swimmers of all abilities. Learn how we accommodate swimmers with physical, developmental, sensory, or learning differences — including our confidential Special Learning Requirements (SLR) intake form.
Yes — we welcome and support swimmers of all abilities at Seal Swimming. Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and successful in the water, and we are committed to creating a positive experience tailored to each swimmer's unique needs.
Supporting diverse learning needs
Whether your child has physical, developmental, sensory, or learning differences, our team will work closely with you to understand how we can best support their swimming journey. Many of our teachers have experience working with neurodiverse learners and adapting lessons to meet a wide range of needs.
Special Learning Requirements (SLR) form
To help us prepare and set your swimmer up for success, we ask families to complete a confidential SLR Form when registering a swimmer with special learning requirements. This gives our team important insight into how your child learns best and helps us determine the most supportive class environment or swim teacher pairing.
Complete the Special Learning Requirements Form(opens in a new tab).
Your information is kept strictly confidential and is only shared with the staff directly involved in your child's care.
